Research FocusThe research group is dedicated to the development of synthetic genomics and biomanufacturing through AI-driven intelligent design and precision genome editing technologies, with the following three main research focuses:
1. Focusing on fundamental innovation in gene editing, we aim to develop precision gene editing technologies with independent intellectual property rights, enabling precise editing at the single-base, short-fragment, and large-fragment DNA levels.
2. Utilizing gene editing technologies to achieve de novo genome synthesis in rice and other species, and establishing a virtual digital design and breeding platform for rice.
3. Conducting biomanufacturing research and development based on synthetic biology through gene editing technologies, with the goal of contributing abundant and healthy food and resources for both humanity and the planet.
