Dr. Liu has been focused on landscape ecology and ecosystem service aiming at urban and rural sustainable development and management. During past few years, he has led several projects on trade-offs between ecosystem service flows, mapped and quantified landscape service flows using big data technology, and published more than 30 articles. Furthermore, his recent research interest is in using nature-based solutions to achieve ecological restoration. He is now leading a team with particular interests in landscape service and ecological restoration for landscape management.
