Professor of Huazhong Agricultural University, doctoral supervisor, member of the State Key Laboratory of Agricultural Microbiology, and was selected for the Outstanding Research Talents Development Program of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China, the "Youth Top Talents Support Program" of the Organization Department of Hubei Province. Since 2009, he has been focusing on Research on "pathogenic mechanism , prevention and control technology of bacteria". He has presided over 1 Youth Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, 2 National Natural Science Foundation of China (General Program), 1 Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province and 1 Science and Technology Innovation Special Project of Hubei Province (China-US Cooperation Special Project). More than 21 papers were published in journals such as EMBO Molecular Medicine, The Journal of Infectious Diseases, Veterinary Microbiology, Infection and Immunity, among which one paper was selected as a research highlight by Nature and made a special report on the homepage. 8 national invention patents were authorized as the first applicant. He is served as a member of the youth editorial board of "Journal of Huazhong Agricultural University", guest editor of Antibiotics, reviewer of Frontiers in Microbiology, Infection and Immunity, Microbiology Spectrum, Virulence, Vaccine, "Journal of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine".
