Jingyi Li, associated researcher at Huazhong Agricultural University, master supervisor. Born in Chengdu, Sichuan at 1988.
Dr. Li's research interests are poultry genetics and evolution, especially on gene mapping and molecular evolution of chicken morphology traits.
Those studies identified basic biology processes of patterning and pigmentation by treat poultry feather as a model, and build connections between the molecular genetics and developmental biology.
Dr. Li built chicken whole genome variation database mainly through publicly available resources, and using bioinformatics to explore functional mutations from the database. Mainly focus on qualitative traits such as plumage color and their use in molecular breeding.
Dr. Li has published 6 research articles in PNAS、G3、Molecular Biology & Evolution、Pigment Cell & Melanoma Research、Mobile DNA and so on, is currently hosting a National Key Research and Development Program of China, ant other 2 programs, participating 2 programs.
