别之龙,中共党员,1970年3月出生,博士,教授,博士生导师。第六届全国优秀科技工作者,享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家,国家西甜瓜产业技术体系设施栽培岗位科学家兼栽培与土肥功能研究室主任,果蔬园艺作物种质创新与利用全国重点实验室和湖北洪山实验室固定研究人员,农业农村部蔬菜专家指导组成员。1996年博士毕业于西南农业大学,1999年10月-2001年9月在日本千叶大学园艺学部从事博士后研究。先后获得湖北省自然科学基金青年杰出人才计划(2008年)、武汉市学科带头人(2009年)、武汉市黄鹤英才(农业)(2014年)、湖北省自然科学基金创新群体(2019年)等人才项目的支持。主持完成的成果先后荣获中国农业工程学会第五届青年科技奖(2008年),湖北省科技进步二等奖(2010年,2015年),湖北省科技进步三等奖(2014年),中国园艺学会华耐园艺科技奖(2018年),获批发明专利15件,制定省地方标准6项。2014年担任第1届国际园艺学会蔬菜嫁接研讨会召集人。主持建设的“设施园艺学”课程2008年被评为国家精品课程,2012年被列为国家精品资源共享课程。主讲的“工厂化育苗原理与技术”2023年被评为国家一流课程。主持完成的湖北省教学改革项目“园艺专业实践教学的改革与创新”2009年获得湖北省教学成果二等奖,主编的“工厂化育苗原理与技术”2020年荣获全国农业教育优秀教材奖。

主要从事设施蔬菜逆境生理与分子生物学、蔬菜工厂化育苗、设施蔬菜品质形成与调控等方面的研究,先后主持和参加国家自然科学基金、国家现代农业产业技术体系、中以国际科技合作项目、国家重点研发计划、国家973、863、国家科技支撑计划、国家公益性行业(农业)科研专项、教育部科学技术重点项目、湖北省自然科学基金创新群体和青年杰出人才基金、武汉市学科带头人计划等40余项纵向科研课题。在国内外刊物发表论文280余篇,其中在 Plant Communications, Plant Physiology, Plant Journal, Journal of Experimental Botany,Food Chemistry, Horticulture Research等刊物上发表SCI论文90余篇。担任Scientia Horticulturae咨询编委、园艺学报编委、中国蔬菜编委、中国瓜菜编委,长江蔬菜副主编,兼任中国园艺学会常务理事兼副秘书长、中国农村专业技术协会常务理事、中国农业工程学会理事、中国农业工程学会设施园艺工程专委会副主任委员、湖北省农村专业技术协会副理事长、武汉市农学会副会长等职务。
