Profile

Dr. Kulyar is a postdoctoral researcher at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Huazhong Agricultural University, China. His specialty and research interests include the apoptotic changes in bone-related disorders at the cell level, especially in chondrocyte cells. He also has a skill set in applying broiler’s chondrocyte cells as a model system for investigating different therapies with the stimulation and inhibition of micro RNAs in human bone disorders, e.g., osteoarthritis. Dr. Kulyar and his colleagues developed a technique to isolate and culture a large number of single growth plate chondrocytes, laying a deep foundation for growth plate chondrocyte engineering and providing a novel idea for other tissue cells that are difficult to culture. To date, Dr. Kulyar published 120 different publications in top journals, e.g., Travel Medicine and infectious diseases, Trends in Food Science and Technology, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Science of The Total Environment, Microbiology Spectrum, Phytomedicine, etc. Dr. Kulyar received the Excellent Ph.D. Dissertation Award for the 2021-2022 academic year from Huazhong Agricultural University, China. Dr. Kulyar is currently investigating the role of small interfering RNA of Bcl-2 in chondrocytes through a drug-protein interaction approach.
