Zheng Rong, female, associate professor in the college of Animal Science & Technology, Huazhong Agricultural University. She graduated from College of Food Science and Technology, Huazhong Agricultural University with a bachelor's degree in 1995, got master's degree in Microbiology from College of Life Science & Technology in 1999, and obtained PhD in Animal Genetic Breeding and Reproduction from Huazhong Agricultural University in 2008. Her research fields mainly focused on molecular biology of swine and environmental engineering of livestock and poultry. In the field of pig molecular biology, her studies included molecular regulation mechanisms of pig important economic traits and the interaction between host genetics and intestinal microbes. In the field of environmental engineering, she mainly studied on the molecular ecology of pig waste composting microorganisms and the development of corresponding microbial agents. The research projects as hoster and participator included the Hubei Province Major Technology Innovation Program of China, the National Key Research and Development Program of China, the Natural Science Fund of Hubei Province, the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities, the National Key Technology Support Program of China, National "863" project and so on. She had published more than 30 research papers in journals, edited two books with "Animal Biotechnology" and "Animal Husbandry economic Management".
