研究方向

基因组学、微生物组学。主要围绕农业有益微生物资源的发掘与利用的关键环节打造数据链并且创新研究方法，实现农业微生物资源的精准化发掘与智能化应用。（1）开发出新型农业微生物资源发掘的生物信息平台，建立了世界上规模最大的杀虫微生物种质和功能基因资源库；构建了多种植物寄生线虫染色体级别基因组和植物寄生线虫ENCODE库，揭示了我国根结线虫群体多样性与流行趋势；推动了第一个杀植物寄生线虫的芽胞杆菌农药成功上市。（2）彻底厘清了原乳酸杆菌属的分类学问题，揭示罗伊氏粘液乳杆菌与脊椎动物宿主的共演化规律，为乳酸菌资源的有针对性发掘提供了理论基础。以通讯作者身份在Nature Communications、Microbiome等期刊发表SCI论文20余篇，单篇最高被引超过2500次，入选“全球前2%顶尖科学家”榜单；主持国家自然科学基金4项；获湖北省技术发明一等奖1项（排序3）。
