Hongyun is currently an Associate Professor at the College of Economics and Management, Huazhong Agricultural University, China. He obtained his Ph.D degree in Agricultural Economics through the joint educational program between Huazhong Agricultural University (China) and Lincoln University (New Zealand). He works in the fields of Agricultural Economics and Development Economics, with a focus on topics such as agricultural productivity and efficiency, information technology adoption, rural welfare, and farmer subjective well-being. Dr. Zheng have published papers on journals such as Food Policy, Australian Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics, Canadian Journal of Agricultural Economics, and Applied Economics.
