Dr. Qingbiao Xu, Associate professor and Master's Supervisor of Huazhong Agricultural University. Awards: Outstanding Talent Training Program for Agricultural Research by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (2021) and Yihe Youth Innovation Award (2022). Undergraduate course: Animal Nutrition. Research Interests: 1) Gut health and nutritional regulation of dairy calves; 2) The development, function, and application of bioactive peptides. Fundings: more than 10 projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the sub-project of the National Key R&D Program of China, the general project of the Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province, the State Key Laboratory of Animal Nutrition, and Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. Dr. Xu has published over 30 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author, such as Microbiome, Trends in Food Science & Technology, Journal of Dairy Science, and Journal of Animal Science & Biotechnology, including 1 ESI highly cited paper. He has applied for 5 invention patents, and participated in 4 books. His graduate students have won several National Scholarships. He is a member of the Chinese Society of Animal Nutrition and the American Dairy Science Association, and serves as the editorial board member for several journals, including iMeta, Animal Research and One Health, and Frontiers in Microbiology, and as reviewer for multiple journals, such as The ISME Journal, Gut Microbes, and Journal of Dairy Science.
