动物传染病的诊断与防制，重点开展多杀性巴氏杆菌、支气管败血波氏杆菌、沙门氏菌、大肠杆菌等细菌病以及猪伪狂犬病、猪瘟、蓝耳病等病毒病的病原学和流行病学调查；开展动物疾病诊断试剂和新型疫苗的研制；开展规模化猪场主要疫病的净化研究等。
