本人工作在理论与实验之间，利用统计物理方法研究实际生物问题。广泛与国内各实验室合作，从实验数据出发，分析真实生物现象。主要方向如下：

1、 细胞生命周期的随机动力学。该方向与国内知名生物实验室合作，提取关键生物信息并构建细胞生长-分裂的定量模型，从而在细胞层面上理解细胞生命周期调控机制。

2、 无序环境中的随机行走。细胞内部、稠密胶体等体系常呈无序状态。大颗粒在其中的运动往往与常见的布朗运动不同。近二十年来，单分子成像-追踪技术得到了长足发展，研究此类反常扩散问题的时机已经成熟。在该方向研究中，我们分析成像实验视频中示踪粒子的轨迹，定量刻画其运动行为，揭示各类反常扩散行为与无序环境的关系。
