讲授本科生“植物生理学”、“基础生物化学”理论课程和实验课程,研究生“植物生理专题”、“作物逆境与调控”等。
主要研究方向包括:作物逆境生理、作物产量形成的生理基础、水分养分高效的生理基础、根系生物学与资源高效利用。
先后主持国家自然科学基金项目、国家科技支撑计划、国家重点研究专项、948项目、863项目、洛氏基金项目(课题、子课题、任务)等国家和省部级项目20余项。
发表论文90余篇,以第一或(共同)通讯作者发表论文50余篇。
