She studies the value-added utilization technology and equipment of agricultural waste. Her research focuses on the thermochemical conversion and Value-added Utilization of agricultural wastes, the preparation of plant seedlings from agricultural wastes, the research of cultivation matrix block and seedling bowl technology and equipment. She has presided over 20 National Natural Science Foundation and provincial and ministerial scientific research projects. More than 10 patents have been authorized by the state, and more than 70 papers have been published and included in SCI, EI, etc. She has won 2 Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards as important participants. She edited 1 professional book and wrote some chapters of 2 textbooks.
