I am a Professor in Department of Forestry at Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU). I have taught undergraduate and postgraduate units in ecology and resource management. I have worked in basic and applied ecology in Chinese and Australian institutions for over 30 years. My research interests broadly span the science and management of agricultural–forest ecosystems. Currently my research focuses on 1) plant-soil nutrient cycle and 2) forest fire ecology (spatial and temporal patterns of forest fire, effects of forest fire on nutrient dynamics, plant re-generation, and biodiversity).
I am looking for postgraduate students, both at the Masters and at PhD levels, who are interested in either of the two areas. I have also had postdoctoral vacancies in ecology.
