熊海燕，博士，华中农业大学生命科学技术学院副研究员，硕士生导师。2014年博士毕业于中国农业大学，2014-2016年在中国农业大学生物学院进行博士后研究，2016-2021年在英国剑桥大学进行博士后研究，2021年受聘于华中农业大学副研究员。熊海燕博士长期致力于解析水稻对非生物胁迫（主要包括干旱和强光照）的信号传导及应答机制，并挖掘关键基因以提高其对环境胁迫的抗性从而保证产量。研究成果以第一作者或共同第一作者发表在PNAS、Plant Physiol、BMC Biol等期刊上，论文总他引800余次。获得授权美国发明专利1项、中国发明专利4项。主持完成国家自然科学基金1项、中国博士后科学基金2项，并获得博士后国际交流计划派出项目资助。获得英国杰出人才工作签证，并就相关研究成果受到BBC Future 栏目的采访并报道等。
