2003年开始担任法学专职教师，兼任湖北省婚姻家庭法学研究会理事，湖北省法学会农业法学研究会理事，中国农业农村法治研究会理事。承担中国法律史、法学导论、农民权益保护专题等课程教学。主要研究领域为农业法、法律史、数字法学。先后在《中国法学》（英文版）《法学评论》《人文杂志》《学习与实践》《新疆社会科学》等期刊上发表学术论文20余篇。参编法学教材5部，副主编1部。主持国家社科项目1项、省部级项目2项。
