胡春根，群众，教授、博士生导师，华中农业大学园艺林学学院果树系，1985年毕业于华中农业大学园艺系果树专业；1988年浙江农业大学园艺系（现更名浙江大学农业与生物技术学院）硕士学位；1998年于华中农业大学获博士学位。2001年3月至2003年3月赴日本国家果树研究所博士后研究。2003年晋职教授、博士生导师。
主持和参加国家和省部级研究项目16项，其中国家自然科学基金重点项目2项，国家自然科学基金面上项目8项，国家863、948计划和行业科技专项各2项。
