方芳，女，丹麦奥胡斯大学遗传学博士，现为湖北洪山实验室及华中农业大学动物繁殖与特种经济动物学系副研究员，硕士生导师。主要研究方向包括中华蜜蜂种质资源的保护和利用，蜜蜂级型分化的调控机制等。相关研究成果已在《Genomics》、《Journal of Animal Science》等国际动物遗传专业杂志上发表。主持或完成国家自然科学基金、海外博士后国际交流引进计划项目、湖北省自然科学基金、中国博士后面上基金等项目，并参与十四五重点研发等项目。已获授权软件著作权2项。
